somehow, ‘books with a tiger or peacock on the cover’ turned into five very different books on my tbr.
i have a soft spot for bookish things that are a little silly, and this one got me immediately
moving house is already stressful enough. then there’s the small matter of packing the books. both these trunks are already full, and this is what’s left. apparently i have some books to pack.
some days, being the strong one is exhausting.

i have a weakness for books that make me want to move into the town they’re set in, and the pumpkin pie book nook absolutely got me.
partition is something we learn about in textbooks, but fiction has a way of making it feel much more personal. it helps understand through the people who lost homes, crossed borders, fell in love, stayed behind, or simply tried to make sense of a world that had changed overnight.
i think we all have those days when the everything is a little too much and you start wondering if people are actually nice anymore.
