When Mommy started this blog, nobody read her. Sad truth! But isn’t that every blogger’s life story? I try to tell her that. Anyway, she had then found out about this amazing Blogging Community called Write Tribe and that changed her blogging life. She is full of praise for Corinne Rodrigues– the life and soul of Write Tribe. Blogging is Corinne’s passion and she also writes at Everyday Gyaan. My Mommy adores her and she is one of those bloggers who she secretly and openly admires, if you know what I mean. Corinne is also a dog mom to Pablo and Lucky and I love seeing their Instagram page. They are cute, alright! Today they have written me a letter which btw you should read as well.
Over to you, Pablo and Lucky…
Dearest Muffy
We’re so happy to be writing to you. We’ve been looking at all your pictures and videos and watching you grow!
Corinne told us about you the day your Dad surprised your Mum and we were super thrilled to know that you were added to our band of online canine pals.
Both of us have been around for a while longer than you have – Pablo for 9 human years and Lucky for 2 ½. So we thought we’d write and share with you some of the things your Mum and Dad are going to learn from you (just the way José and Corinne learned from us!).
Shhh…Let’s keep this between us, shall we?
#1 Life is too short not to love with all your heart
We love unconditionally and are not afraid to show our love to humans. We greet our humans with a wagging tail when they return from an outing, despite how sad we were when they were away. We know our lives are short and we pack all the love we can into it.
#2 Work hard, but remember to make time to play
We often have to remind José and Corinne to take a break from their work and routine to play with us. Sometimes we just want to be petted and cuddled. You’re going to teach your Mum and Dad to make time for unscheduled play and love!
#3 Make time for naps
We guys have a ball, we exercise, we play hard, but when we need a rest, we take it. Not for us deadlines and mad rushing about trying to please our bosses! Humans can learn a lot from us about resting when they need to.
#4 There is still good in the world, we’ve got to look for it and preserve it.
Corinne once read to us from a book called A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog and we remember this particular quote from it:
“No matter how close we are to another person, few human relationships are as free from strife, disagreement, and frustration as is the relationship you have with a good dog. Few human beings give of themselves to another as a dog gives of itself. I also suspect that we cherish dogs because their unblemished souls make us wish – consciously or unconsciously – that we were as innocent as they are, and make us yearn for a place where innocence is universal and where the meanness, the betrayals, and the cruelties of this world are unknown”.
Finally, Muffy, remember that you are a special angel sent to your Mum and Dad. Because loving a dog can be really good for the soul.
“Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.” – Dean Koontz
So your Mum and Dad are really blessed to have you in their lives. Stay sweet, Muffy!
I showed this letter to Mommy and she cried. Hoomans, I tell you! Thank you, Pablo and Lucky. Paw-five!
Author’s Note:
Pablo, a 9 year old boxer, and Lucky, a 2 1/2 year old Indi-pup are the proud owners of Jose and Corinne Rodrigues!! Pablo blogs at Pawesome Wisdom of and on and has his own Facebook page.

99% of your posts make me misty eyed, Muffy! Today’s letter by Pablo and Lucky also did the same thing, and now I have tears in my eyes like crazy! Guess I am all emotional thinking about my Chikoo.
Shower your mum and dad with loads and loads of love…they need it. That’s how we humans are…so in need of a love that’s as pure as selfless as yours!
I do hope we get to meet some day, Muffy darling!
