What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Your conscience that kills your continual adventures?
Seeing you through your own eyes
What is it- truth or lie?
Look over your shoulder and things become any clearer
Is it a hurt or is it a Damage?
You hide it in your eyes and smile like bright sunshine
And yet you ponder over the shallow judgments
Tears well up and you close your eyes…
“Hey fighter, soon things will be brighter..
And before long you’ll be just fine..!”

When I was in my 20s I would see people look at me and I thought they could see all the horrible things within me and then as I got older, I understood they were looking at my Light.

I think your poem is quite symbolic. Because of my vision-impairment and the way I viewed my clumsiness, others may have viewed me in that light. Now that I realize that I’m moving forward and accepting myself, others view that life in me. So for me, that mirror reflect my own attitude and self-confidence.

Older I get less time I spend looking at my self. Age cause us to spend less time with self. Good, bad or middle of the road…thats life coffee is on
