We have all heard it – Never judge a book by its cover! Alas! I wish that was true. I have picked up many books only because of their crazy beautiful book covers. A few were spotted on someone’s hands, displayed in a bookstore, or found on bookstagram. Let me know which among these caught your eye!
- Raybearer and Redemptor by Jordan Ifueko
- Hunted by the Sky by Tanaz Bhathena
- The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
- She Who Became The Sun by Rebel Warrior Hero
- The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell
- The Nine Chambered Heart by Janice Patriat
- With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
- Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
And here are a few more that are on my cart to buy right now. 🙂
- Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan
- Little Thieves by Margaret Owen
- The Girl Who Fell Beneath The Sea by Axie Oh
- Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibanez
Did any of these books catch your eye?

You know most of these books are in my TBR precisely because of their covers! I bought Middlegame by Seanan McGuire precisely because of its haunting cover.

Oh, covers are definitely the first thing that makes me pick up books, at least the paperbacks. But I’ve never purchased them based solely on the cover.
What a beautiful compilation you’ve got here btw.

Shalini, recently I have subscribed to the local municipal library that’s very close to my house. Most of the books there are in French. With the help of the kind librarian there, I have started picking up the books. most of them from the children’s section for the obvious reason that I am still a toddler in the world of French literature 😉 And guess what… every time I end up selecting the book based on its cover! The fanciest and the most colourful attract me the most.
And I too loved all the book covers you have shared here.

Covers matter, yes, I don’t remember buying any book mainly because of the cover.
Haven’t read any of these. The Nine Chambered Heart is on my TBR list. I’ve read the author’s previous books, her writing style is lyrical.
