He was getting back after being with her. He knew she was sad. It has only been a month since their wedding. And they were new to the place trying to live in together. Unfortunately, the accommodation was not getting ready and she was staying miles away from him.

He had just seen her burst into tears. In the dark of night, when all was still, thoughts of her kept pouring into his mind. She had asked him not to leave her. Tattered and torn, he was riding back to his room with a running tear. The bike had come to a screeching halt and he found a flat tyre. “The tyre couldn’t have chosen a better time to get punctured“, he thought. He checked the watch which said it was 15minutes for the new day.  Midnight- in this empty, godforsaken, lonely place, he wondered. It was a deserted highway, and he dragged the vehicle for a good two kilometers unable to find help from any who passed by. There he finds two men who seemed to be nothing short of rogues. Out of desperation he asks for hope. Rest is history. An extended hand of help… an auto-rickshawwala… a gratifying heart who open the closed service station at that witching hour.
