It has been a while since I’ve done a personal post..rather a tag kinda post. Shanaya Tales had tagged me to take up this ‘About Me’ blog tag but then I completely forgot about it until today. So here I am, giving it a go, trying to answer the questions about anything, but books!
Name a cartoon(s) that you love
I was choosy as a kid when it came to cartoons. I hated Flintstones and Dexter (God knows why!), wasn’t keen on Ducktales or BUcks bunny either. Tom and Jerry was my life and Popeye, my love. I would (attempt?) to have Spinach just because I wanted to be strong like Popeye and beat the hell out of creeps like Bluto. Back then I hated his girlfriend Olive Oyl because she simply couldn’t take care of herself! Sheesh!
What is your favorite song right now?
I find myself humming to the song ‘Aapki Nazron ne Samjha‘ by Lata Mangeshkar. I heard it for the first time about six years ago during my courtship days. Needless to say, the romantic in me was picturing the fiance in the head. I’m home with my parents and sister since the beginning of this month and I badly miss him. Well… no points for guessing why it is my favorite song right now. *running for cover*
What could you do for hours (that isn’t reading)?
Well, it’s difficult to hold my attention for long, doing a single thing. However, I can watch an interesting T.V. series, say, GoT, Friends, HIMYM or House. Recently, I have started watching YouTube videos like crazy, be it on Home Organization, DIYs, or Gardening.
What is something you love to do that your followers would be surprised by?
Surprised by? I don’t think there isn’t anything. My interest varies at different points of time though. If it is Zumba today, tomorrow you can find me lying in bed, reading a good book and totally lost in a different world. I love to cook (which you know). I’m currently, occupied with cleaning Mom’s kitchen. That’s a mission in itself!
What is your favorite unnecessarily specific thing to learn about (this can do with books, I guess)?
It would be Food Photography. I’m learning to better the photographs I click for the food blog.
What is something unusual you know how to do?
I choreograph every single song in my playlist, in my head. Dance is life! <3
Name something you’ve made in the last year (and show us, if you can).
Please visit my food blog – Something’s Cooking, for more information 😛
What is your most recent personal project?
Doing a 4km walk every day. Yup. Doing it since the day I landed here in Kerala. And there is also something else in the works. Will let you guys know soon.
Tell us something you think about often (maybe while staring out of windows).
A lot of things, as to what I should cook, post on my blog, to what Mom would be doing right now. It’s just random stuff mostly. But there is something that’s in my head for quite some time and I hope to sit down and do something about it.
Give us something that’s your favorite, but make it something oddly specific, not like your favorite food, but like your favorite food when you’ve been studying for hours and forgot to eat. Or, you know, something like that.
Studying for hours and forget to eat? That happens when I’m watching an interesting TV series, and planning, scheduling and updating a blog post.
So that’s it! Feel free to take on this tag or answer the questions in the comment section. I would love to read’em.
I am taking part in The Write Tribe Problogger October 2017 Blogging Challenge.

“Aap ki Nazron ne samjha” is one of my fav’s too Shalini! Though my all time favorite would be “Aaj jaane ki zid na karo” sung by farida khanum. I heard this song for the first time long back before (nearly 15 years i guess) it was reintroduced in the movie “Ae dil hai muskhil”.
PS: I too spend many hours if I start watching a TV Series or reading a new novel, as the anxiety of what comes next never lets me sleep!

An interesting read as always. Cleaning mom’s kitchen seems to be a passion with all girls. I know my girls would love to make me over completely! Am looking forward to hearing about your soon to be announced project with bated breath. Enjoy at your mom’s.
