Welcome to this brand new series on my blog. Inspired by Sanch’s #WeekendCoffeeShare, every Monday I invite you over to my lil’ space to have coffee with me. We could chat, go over how our week was and Psst..psst… gossip too! Why Monday? Of course, because of the blues surrounding this day. What else but a cup of coffee can drive away that dullness!
So , If we were having coffee, I would ask you to come over, sit with me at the sit out and have a strong filter coffee while I tell you that I’m happy. You know why? Because I’m home!
Yup. I’m home in Kerala and it feels so good to be with my parents and sister after long. Their chatterbox is back and I didn’t let them sleep yesterday night. I was finally locked in my room so that I could catch some sleep after the 16hour journey. Ha! I could’ve reached the US of A with this kind of travel.
If we were having coffee, I would say that I feel contented to see the lush green fields and trees and breathe fresh air. I’m back at my in-laws and took a stroll down the banana and tapioca plantations, jumping from one earthen bund to another. The “Pampered Mode” is on in my life and I’m relishing each moment. Be it the authentic Kerala food my in-laws prepare at home or hotels or fast food centers. Yup. After 3 months, husband and I had a sumptuous Kerala biriyani from one of the favorite food chains in the capital city, Azad Restaurant.
If we were having coffee, I would also say that I’m a little disappointed as I couldn’t watch the Bollywood movie, the biopic of our Indian Cricket Team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni yet. I’m a huge fan of Captain Cool and me not watching the film is heartbreaking.
If we were having coffee, I would definitely say that we are hell bent on making each day of our vacation count. More on that later.
So, what would you like to share with me over coffee? Let me know.
Until next week,
