Review:
No Safe Zone is a romantic thriller and is the story of Qiara Rana and Kabir Shorey. Qiara works for an NGO in London but had to come to Delhi, when the NGO lands in trouble. It’s a city she had vowed never to return to, but she was ready to do anything for her mentor and thus goes about with the plans to track down their NGO’s biggest sponsor who seemed to have ditched them. Within a few hours of landing in Delhi, she finds herself in a huge mess by being a prime suspect for the murder of her sponsor and is also being chased by a gunman.
Kabir works for an Intelligence Agency and is working on tracing a certain businessman and his links to women traffickers in Europe. Amidst a murder and a gunman on the loose, Kabir lands up in the right place at the right moment. He becomes the savior for our damsel in distress. Qiara and Kabir share a romantic turned bitter past. As their past and present collide in a deadly plot of crime and greed, their romance blossoms once again.
Whoa!
I had read Adite’s romance novel ‘Trouble has No Name’ and had fallen in love with her writing. This time when she came up with a romantic thriller, it got my attention even more. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the suspense and thrill was build up from the word go. It is commendable that the author had picked up a theme as sensitive as trafficking of girls to develop her story. It kept me at the edge of the seat. The scenes of Rajasthan was beautifully captured and since I recently visited the place, it was as if I was re-living my travel.
I loved both Qiara and Kabir, though my heart is more tangled around Kabir- the handsome, passionate yet dangerous. Their stories are complicated and doubled up with misunderstandings. But in the end, Adite has untangled them beautifully.
Do I Recommend?
Yes. It was like experiencing a roller-coaster ride with the right amount of romance to spice up the story. The suspense and the thrill makes it an engaging read.
