Chicken Pilaf

Did I tell you that my sis has joined me home? SHe has just completed her professional course and is on for a break!! Thankfully, I have fallen sick and I am taking a much needed break. Oh, Woooww….!!Happy

I thought of making this pulao today! Well, this is not the traditional layered biriyani which takes so much of hardwork and time. This is a simple one, but delicious enough to go “Yummmmmmmmmmm…”!!

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice – 2 Cups

Water- 4cups

Chicken- 500gms

Curd- 1/2 cup

Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp

Ginger-Garlic paste- 1tsp

Salt- to taste

Green chillies chopped- 5

Onions- 2

Coriander leaves- 2tbsp

Mint leaves- 2 tbsp

Ghee- 5tbsp

Powder together:

Cardamon- 5

Cinnamon – 3

Cloves- 4

Or add 1tsp Garam Masala powder

Method:

Mix chicken with curd, 1 tsp salt, chilli powder and ginger-garlic paste. Keep aside for an hour.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Fry onion till brown.

Add chicken mixture. Fry till the liquid is absorbed.

Add powdered ingredients, mint and coriander leaves. Mix well.

Add rice and water.

Pressure cook till a whistle is blown.

Then, o yeah.. its done!!Happy Yes
