This is such a tantalizing snack that the moment I place the pakoras on to the platter , it gets vanished into thin air. The culprits include both P and me!!! This is a super-duper hit amongst my guests too. A must try- either as a cocktail appetizer or for high tea.
Boneless chicken(cut in 2″ pieces)-1/2kg, Thick curd- 4tbsp, ginger-garlic paste- 2tsp, Salt and pepper- to taste, Lemon juice-1tsp, Garam masala-to sprinkle, Oil
Batter: Eggs-2, Oil- 2tbsp, Plain flour-4tbsp, Salt and pepper to taste
Marinate the chicken with curd, ginger-garlic paste, salt and pepper for a minimum of half an hour. Shallow fry the chicken in a tsp of oil. Ideally, cook covered for a couple of minutes so that the chicken is juicy and tender.
Blend all ingredients for batter. Dip the chicken pieces in this and fry in hot oil.
Remove and sprinkle lemon juice and garam masala. Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
